Hugo Garbe
Founder and CEO
Hugo Garbe is an executive with over 20 years of experience in corporate finance. Among other executive positions, he held the position of Treasury Director for the Southern Cone at Kodak and Director of Financial Operations for the Portuguese group Leya Editores. He graduated in Economics from PUCSP and in Accounting from Mackenzie, with a Specialization in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking from FIA-USP. He holds an MBA in Finance (2015), a Master’s degree in Economics & Markets (2018), and is a Ph.D. candidate in Business Administration at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. He is a Professor of Economics in specialization courses at Mackenzie and in the MDA in Corporate Treasury at USP. He is the President and founder of IBTC (Brazilian Institute of Corporate Treasury), the most relevant association of corporate treasury in Brazil, with over 1,000 executive members.
Mel Girão
Co-Founder and CDO
Mel Girão, one of the most renowned professionals in Marketing and Planning in Brazil, has over twenty years of experience working in top-tier companies such as L’Oréal, SKY, Kimberly-Clark, Hypermarcas, Qualicorp, and MetLife. She holds a degree in Production Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (both from PUC-Rio), and is a Ph.D. candidate at EAESP-FGV. Abroad, she attended the Wharton Executive Program at the University of Pennsylvania and the Stanford Digital Modeling Course. Since 2019, she has been the Academic Coordinator of the short and medium-term Marketing and Sales course at FGV; since 2015, she has been a Professor at FGV’s MBA; since 2022, she has been a board member at the PMI – Project Management Institute in Brazil.
